London is a wonderful city, but the sheer size and congestion of the place can sometimes be a little overwhelming. We would advise anyone planning on visiting the capital to create some sort of itinerary and really look into what they would like to do in the city when they get there, before they get there!
Firstly of all you should book your accommodation carefully. You want to make sure that you are in a location you can find easily, and one which allows you to get around the capital fairly easily. You will obviously save money by staying outside of the centre of London, but you will probably lose the money you saved paying for travel every day to get to the places you want to visit. You should also try to consider the places you will be visiting when you book your accommodation. Make sure that if your interests lie south of the river, you book accommodation that is south of the river, and vice versa. If you are a big theatre fans and you have splashed out on Phantom of the opera tickets then make sure you are within striking distance of the West End.
Before heading into London Town you should also consider the sort of budget that you have. London can be an expensive place, but it doesn’t have to be. With careful planning, sensible decisions in terms of eating out and finding those hidden gems which allow free entry, you can have a great time in London without breaking the bank.
